He is known for his interdisciplinary contributions to artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, library science, and big data analytics. As of 2025, he serves as an information scientist at Google Brain.

Early Life and Education

Sohong Dhar was born in Howrah, West Bengal, where he studied at Shibpur Dinobandhu Branch. Influenced early by classical Indian logic systems like Nyāya and Vaiśeṣika, he developed an interest in structured reasoning and linguistics.

He earned a Master of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Calcutta, a Master of Library and Information Science from Jadavpur University, and an M.Sc. in Data Science from IIT Madras. He is pursuing doctoral research at the Pratt School of Engineering, Duke University.
