Shubham S Sharma (born 22 January 1989) is an Indian entrepreneur, inventor, and clean-energy technologist. He is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of HydroTech Clean Energy Pvt. Ltd., a company specializing in hydrogen-based (HHO) energy solutions aimed at emission reduction and fuel optimization.
He is widely associated with the development of engine decarbonization systems that support India’s clean-energy transition by offering scalable and industry-ready alternatives to conventional fuel-efficiency technologies.
Early life and education
Sharma was born in Moradabad, a city in Uttar Pradesh, India. Raised in a middle-income household, he developed an early curiosity for mechanical systems, scientific experimentation, and environmentally sustainable innovation.
He completed postgraduate studies in commerce and management, earning an M.Com and an MBA, and later obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB). He is an alumnus of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University. His academic exposure to business administration and legal frameworks played a key role in shaping his entrepreneurial and compliance-driven approach.
Professional career
Foundation of HydroTech Clean Energy
In 2013, Sharma co-founded HydroTech Clean Energy Pvt. Ltd. with the mission of introducing practical clean-energy technologies that could be integrated into existing industrial and automotive infrastructure. The company’s core focus is hydrogen-based HHO (oxyhydrogen) systems designed for on-demand application.
HydroTech’s product portfolio includes hydrogen fuel-saver units and non-invasive engine decarbonization machines used in internal combustion engines, diesel generators, and industrial boilers. These systems improve combustion efficiency, reduce carbon residue, and lower exhaust emissions without engine dismantling.
By 2025, HydroTech had established a network of over 1,500 operational service centers across India and expanded its export footprint to more than 18 international markets across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
Technological contribution
Under Sharma’s leadership, HydroTech Clean Energy has contributed to the broader clean-tech ecosystem by developing cost-efficient hydrogen solutions suitable for MSMEs and industrial operators.
