Indian MPs Visit Arctic MedTech Innovations Led by Prof. Krishna Agarwal documents an international engagement programme hosted on 7 November 2025 in Tromsø, Norway. The visit brought a group of young Indian Members of Parliament to UiT The Arctic University of Norway, where they were given an in-depth tour of cutting-edge medical technology research led by Prof. Krishna Agarwal.
Supported by *ProTromsø* and attended by representatives of UN Women and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi, the event highlighted the strengthening scientific dialogue between India and Norway.
Indian Parliamentary Delegation
The five-member delegation included:

Their visit provided opportunities to interact with Norwegian researchers, explore Arctic-focused healthcare solutions, and discuss areas of cooperation in emerging scientific domains.

The programme was part of an international partnership effort aimed at fostering Indo–Norwegian collaboration in:

Tromsø, positioned in the High North, is globally known for research in Arctic health, biomedicine, microfluidics, and resilient healthcare systems.
MedTech Demonstration
During the session, Prof. Krishna Agarwal—Founder & CEO of *Spermotile* and a leading faculty member at UiT—presented breakthrough solutions in:
- AI-driven diagnostics
- microfluidic engineering
- advanced optical imaging
- sustainable, human-centric medical devices
A central highlight was Spermotile, an AI-enabled microfluidic platform designed to improve sperm selection in IVF/ICSI. Its precision-motion technology has gained international attention for its capability to significantly enhance the efficiency and accuracy of assisted reproductive treatment.
The MPs engaged in discussions about how such technologies could improve reproductive health outcomes in India.
Career and Research Contributions of Prof. Agarwal
Prof. Agarwal also outlined her academic journey and leadership roles, including:
