Ishwar Harchand Chitte is an Indian actor, stage performer, celebrity lookalike, and former Indian Railways Train Manager known for his resemblance to Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Over his multi-decade career, he has performed in more than 2500 live shows across India and worked in television, regional cinema, music videos, and corporate entertainment.
In December 2025, he received an official entry in the London Book of World Records for his long-standing contribution as one of the most recognized Amitabh Bachchan lookalike performers.
Early life
Chitte was born in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. From an early age, he was drawn to acting, mimicry and performing arts. His natural resemblance to Amitabh Bachchan played a significant role in shaping his artistic direction.
Career
Work with Indian Railways
Before becoming a full-time entertainer, Chitte served as a Train Manager (Guard) with Indian Railways. He retired in July 2024.
