Basharat Abbas (born 25 December 1985) is an Indian entrepreneur, start-up mentor, and speaker. He is the founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Enthusionz, an advertising and digital communications agency based in Bangalore, India. Over the course of his career, he has been the brand architect for more than 350 brands across the globe, crafting strategies to help them navigate the challenges of a rapidly evolving digital marketplace. He is also recognised for his pivotal role in Pinkathon, India’s largest women’s wellness initiative by Milind Soman.

In 2018, he was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award by IFA, and in 2024, he was named among India’s top “40 Under 40” entrepreneurs.

Early life and education

Basharat was born in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir, into a family devoted to education—both of his parents being teachers. He is the youngest of three siblings; his elder sisters being a doctor and a scientist, respectively.

From an early age, he displayed a flair for innovation. One of his projects—a device that generated electricity from weeds—earned him a place in the National Register of Grassroot Innovations under the National Innovation Foundation, giving him the opportunity to meet former President Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.

He completed his schooling at IMI, Anantnag, earned a B.Sc. in Biotechnology from Bangalore University through Brindavan College, and later obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from the Kirloskar Institute of Management.

Career

In 2011, Basharat launched Enthusionz as a fully bootstrapped advertising and brand communications agency particularly focusing on the digital landscape. His philosophy centres on building authentic, sustainable brands through strategy, creativity, and ethical business practices.

Under his leadership, Enthusionz has supported more than 350 clients across sectors such as healthcare, education, fintech, consumer goods, real estate, and social impact. The company’s hybrid model blends traditional marketing insights with contemporary digital tools.

Speaking and Thought Leadership

Basharat is a prominent speaker at different industry conferences, academic institutions, and leadership forums. In one convocation address, he introduced his personal leadership model: The 3 P’s of Life – Purpose, Passion, and Persistence.
